Policar is the brand owned by APS-Politoys under which in the 60's began the history of Italian slot racing. Slot car racing was a popular hobby in the sixties and Policar played the role to bring a slot track in almost every home in Italy.
Policar-Polistil has been the most important (and then from the late sixties the only) maker of slot car in Italy, its production spanned over three decades and the total number of slot cars, in scales between 1/24 and 1/66 (the beautiful Policar MINI in the '60s and the unknown Champion 80 in the '80s) The whole number of different models is in the order of magnitude of hundreds and includes unique items like bobsleigh tracks and dune buggies.

La storia delle slotcar Policar-Polistil inizia negli anni '60 a Milano e si sviluppa su più di 60 anni in fasi alterne: dal boom degli anni sessanta al fallimento degli anni 90 per arrivire ai giorni nostri con la rinascita del marchio Policar ad opera di slot.it e al fiorire di "artigiani" come TT Racing e TopToys.
