STROMBECKER: Polistil slotcars made in USA
About "not-so-clear" partnerships: at the end of the seventies the French-American maker Strombecker (founded in 1876 in Chicago, but with production plants in Canada and in France) sold in Northern America the Evolution series by Polistil, but without any permission given by the latter! Even today is possibile to find on Ebay "Strombecker" slot cars which are exact copies of the Polistil ones.
